Noble Manor

The noble manor Zimmerlehen, once an episcopal fief and owned by the Kompatscher family for over 100 years, is an architectural jewel in South Tyrol and has been carefully and thoughtfully renovated in recent years. The farm is quietly situated above Völs am Schlern (Fiè allo Sciliar) on the edge of the Schlern-Rosengarten / Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park, in the heart of the Dolomites and just 10 minutes from the Seiser Alm cable car.

Hofschank

In the spacious cellar of our Hofschank you can celebrate your birthday, family celebration or company anniversary in a rustic setting steeped in history. We serve local products from our own agriculture and livestock, fresh from the farm. In autumn we host the traditional South Tyrolean Törggelen.

Farm Holidays

Experience 800 years of history, immerse yourself in the past and recharge your batteries for the future. Our five stylishly furnished holiday apartments in Völs am Schlern are located in the farmhouse and in the two towers of the noble residence and are named after aristocratic personalities who once lived on Zimmerlehen. Children enjoy a real farm holiday with oxen, pigs, chickens and rabbits, and on request we provide a breakfast basket with our own products.

Ferdinand von Kuepach was Landeshauptmann (first administrator) of Tyrol and owned Zimmerlehen. He renovated the manor fundamentally and was responsible for many paintings and frescoes.

Hauptmann Fenberger

Tempel

The Tempel is named after Petru Schiopul also known as “Peter the Lame”. Last of the house Musat he ruled over the principality Moldavia (Romania) from 1574 to 1577.
After 1577 he lived in exile in Tyrol and spent some time at Zimmerlehen.

Very nice accommodation and very nice and attentive hosts were Isidor, Inge and Simon. It is very quiet and yet you can start all activities from here. Bread roll service was available every day on request. It was a very nice and fun stay here. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

We had such an enchanting time at Zimmerlehen! We stayed in the Katherina von Trapp room, which was lovely and spacious for 2 people. We each had our own room and enjoyed having a kitchen to cook a few meals in. There was a sweet deck off the kitchen that we used a number of times.

The place is outstanding. It's a great place for families if you are skiing at Alpe di Siusi. It is not far from the ski resort (about 15 min). The apartments are very, very clean and equipped with everything you need during your stay (towels, dishes, dishwasher, etc.). The whole place has a great atmosphere, like an old castle, and it's very pleasant. In simple words: top notch!

Your way to us

From the north:Leave the Brenner motorway in Klausen and continue south on the state road to Waidbruck. In Waidbruck, cross the bridge and follow the signs to Völs and Kastelruth. At the roundaboutin Völs, drive into the green zone towards Obervöls. After approx. 700 metres turn left into Kühbachweg and after another 700 metres you will reach our farm.

From the south: Leave the Brenner motorway at Bolzano Nord and continue north on the main road to Blumau. In Blumau, take the left Tunnel and continue to Völs. At the roundabout in Völs, take the green zone towards Obervöls. After approx. 700 metres turn left into Kühbachweg and after another 700 metres you will reach our farm.

By train: all international and regional trains stop in Bolzano/Bozen. From there you can take the bus to Fiè every half hour.

With our pick-up service you are still mobile with us! The nearest bus stop is approx. 700 metres from the farm, the train station in Bolzano is 17 km away, Bolzano airport is 20 km away and Innsbruck airport is 120 km away. We will be happy to pick you up from there with our own taxi on request. Are you planning a longer hike or would you like to reach a specific starting point? With the new guest card you are mobile and discover the holiday region Alpe di Siusi and South Tyrol by bus and train.
